Frameless polycarbonate domes
Geodesic Domes for Sale — Rigid Polycarbonate, from US$1,094
Round dome tents, clear igloos and extended ovals — eleven verified models from 2.1 m to 9.7 m. Compare sizes and formats, then match the shell, ventilation, shade and access to the project. All sizes can be specified for commercial use.
Round dome tents, oval and extended formats.
Round models — the shape most people search for as a clear igloo, garden pod or bubble house — start with compact home and intimate dining uses, then scale to hospitality suites and group spaces. Oval and extended formats create longer plans for beds, long tables and circulation. Every shell is solid polycarbonate, not inflatable film.
A geodesic dome tent and a Domevora dome are not the same thing.
People arrive here searching for a geodesic dome tent, a geo dome tent, a geodome kit, a clear igloo or simply domes for sale. Those words describe at least four different constructions. The table below says plainly which one we make, so nobody spends a week comparing the wrong product.
| What people search | What it usually is | Where we sit |
|---|---|---|
| Geodesic dome tent · geo dome tent · geodome | A triangulated aluminium or steel frame with panels stretched or clipped over it. | Not what we build. The triangles are structural, so the frame is visible from inside. |
| Geodesic dome kit · geo dome kit | The same triangulated frame, shipped flat as a self-assembly kit. | Ours also ships as a bolt-together kit — but the panels are the structure. |
| Dome tent (camping) | A nylon shell over flexible poles, 2–20 kg, made to be carried. | Not what we build. Our shells weigh 350–560 kg and stay where you put them. |
| Clear igloo · igloo dome | A transparent dome, usually inflatable PVC held up by a blower. | Same silhouette, different construction. Ours is rigid and needs no blower. |
| Bubble tent | Inflatable. Stops being a room the moment the fan stops. | Ours is a solid shell. There is nothing to inflate and nothing to fail. |
| Domevora dome | Curved solid polycarbonate panels bolted to a 6063 aluminium base ring. | The panels carry the load. No triangulated frame, no blower, no fabric. |
If a triangulated frame is what your project needs, buy a geodesic dome tent and be happy. If you want an uninterrupted view through a rigid shell, that is what this page is. Eleven models, 2.1 m to 9.7 m, from US$1,094 EX-WORKS, all available as dome tents for sale in single units.

What every model on this page has in common.
Every Domevora dome tent here is the same construction: a solid Bayer polycarbonate shell on a 6063 aluminium base profile.
The shell transmits about 91% of visible light (ASTM D1003). It resists impact around 200 times better than glass and 30 times better than acrylic, and holds its properties from −40 °C to 120 °C.
It is rated B1 for fire and level 14 for wind, with installed performance depending on anchoring and foundation, and carries a 10-year warranty covering under 6% light-transmission loss and a yellowing index under 10 (ASTM D1925). Diameters run from 2.1 m to 9.7 m, and every size can be specified for commercial use.
All models are available for sale as bolt-together kits with export packing. An igloo dome for a terrace, a clear igloo for a garden and a dome tent for sale to a campsite operator are the same shell in different sizes and configurations — the specification does not change with the name. Model-by-model costs, and the four costs that sit outside the price, are set out in the 2026 price guide; what arrives in the crate and how it goes up is on installation and shipping.

Prices are indicative, quoted EX-WORKS Suzhou and updated 26 July 2026; they move with the exchange rate. Sea freight, duties, foundation and local installation are quoted separately — send us your destination port and we will include a landed estimate with your quotation. Two units and above are quoted at distributor pricing.
Dimensions are product references, not site or foundation approval.
Four times this is the wrong thing to buy.
- You want something to carry. These weigh 350–560 kg. A camping dome tent weighs under 20 kg and costs a fiftieth as much. Buy that instead.
- You need to pack it away weekly. A Domevora dome comes apart, but it is a half-day job for two people. It is a semi-permanent structure, not an event tent.
- Your budget is under US$1,000. That is inflatable-bubble territory. We do not compete there and we will say so on the first email.
- Your local code demands a permanent building. Where a specification names masonry or glass, a bolt-together polycarbonate shell is not a substitute. Check before you order.
Everything else — a garden room, a guest suite, a dining pod, a resort unit that has to survive winter — is what the shell was designed for.
What buyers ask before they choose a size.
Is a Domevora dome a geodesic dome?
No. A geodesic dome carries its load through a triangulated frame. A Domevora dome carries it through curved solid polycarbonate panels bolted to a 6063 aluminium base ring. The practical difference is what you see from inside: no triangle grid across the sky.
Is this a dome tent for camping?
No. Camping dome tents are nylon over flexible poles and weigh under 20 kg. These shells weigh 350 to 560 kg depending on size and are designed to stay in place for years, through wind rated at level 14 (site-dependent; anchoring reviewed per project) and temperatures from -40 °C to 120 °C.
How is this different from a geodome kit?
Both ship flat and bolt together on site. In a geodome kit the frame is the structure and the cover is skin. Here the panels are the structure, which is why there is no visible framework and why the shell holds about 91% light transmission (ASTM D1003).
Can I buy one dome, or is there a minimum order?
Single units are sold. Every model on this page is available as a dome tent for sale in one-off quantities, from US$1,094 EX-WORKS. Two units or more move to distributor pricing.
How long does assembly take, and do I need a contractor?
No contractor. It arrives as a labelled bolt-together kit with eight assembly steps and free video guidance. Two people handle the small models; larger diameters need a third pair of hands for the crown panels.
