Round 3.5 m High Domevora dome, client installation: a rooftop garden at night

Comparison

Domevora vs Hypedome: Price, Size and Warranty Compared

Both brands sell rigid, clear polycarbonate domes, not inflatable bubble tents. The main differences are how the price is quoted and how the dome is bought. Hypedome lists a delivered retail price with VAT included, a 30-day return, and a dome you can put together yourself. Domevora quotes factory EX-WORKS prices from US$1,094, offers taller shells of a similar diameter and a 7-year polycarbonate material warranty, and sells single units and multi-unit commercial orders.

Which to choose

When each one is the better fit.

Hypedome is likely the better fit if…

  • you want one dome for a private garden, delivered to your door with VAT and duties already in the price;
  • a 30-day return matters to you;
  • you want to assemble it yourself in a day, with their manual and videos;
  • you prefer to choose from a fixed set of ready-made colour styles (they list clear, grey, opal and mirror).

Domevora is likely the better fit if…

  • you are pricing several domes for a restaurant, resort or glamping site, where the factory price and the 2-unit wholesale basis change the budget;
  • you need more head height at the same diameter, for example 3.0 m at 3.5 m or 3.5 m at 6.0 m;
  • you want a longer material warranty on the polycarbonate;
  • you need an oval or extended oval layout, for long tables or a bed plus seating.

What both have in common

The same material, different construction.

Both shells are solid polycarbonate, so the basic material trade-offs are the same: polycarbonate is far tougher than glass, needs gentle cleaning to avoid scratches, and turns into a greenhouse in strong sun unless the dome is shaded and ventilated. Hypedome lists 100 or more panels per shell (190 or more on the L). Domevora shells are made of large curved panels bolted to an aluminium base ring, which keeps the view through each panel uninterrupted. Neither needs a blower, so neither collapses when the power fails, unlike an inflatable bubble tent. For material choices in more depth, see why polycarbonate and clear tents vs bubble tents.

Comparing against other garden domes? Domevora vs Gardenigloo covers a PVC-cover garden igloo, and Pacific Domes cost covers a steel-frame fabric dome.

Questions buyers ask us

Is Domevora cheaper than Hypedome?

On the listed price, yes: the Round 3.5 m High starts at US$1,692 EX-WORKS, against $4,950 listed for the Hypedome S on 20 October 2026. But the Hypedome price includes VAT, duties and delivery, and ours does not. Add freight, import duty, local tax and installation to our price before you compare.

What is a good Hypedome alternative?

If you want a rigid clear polycarbonate dome rather than an inflatable one, compare on height, floor area, warranty scope and what the price includes. Domevora is one rigid polycarbonate alternative, with 11 published round and oval models, each with an EX-WORKS price on the model page.

Which has the longer warranty?

Domevora offers a 7-year polycarbonate material warranty. Hypedome’s product page for the L states 2 years against manufacturing defects, and its home page says up to 3 years. The two cover different things, so read both written terms.

Can I assemble a Domevora dome myself?

Yes. It ships as a labelled bolt-together kit with an assembly guide and remote support. A prepared local team with hand tools can assemble the small models. The crew and the time depend on the model and on access to the site. You need a level, load-appropriate base first; see foundation and anchoring.
