Garden yoga studios
Garden Yoga Studio: a Clear Dome for Yoga and Meditation Outdoors
A Domevora dome makes an outdoor yoga studio you can use in any weather: a rigid, solid-polycarbonate room on an aluminium base ring, with the garden on every side and the sky overhead. Choose the size from the number of mats and the poses you do. The Round 3.0 m (7.1 m², from US$1,445) takes two mats; for standing poses with arms raised, the 3.0 m-high models give more room. Prices are EX-WORKS Suzhou.

Short answer
Does a clear dome work as a yoga or meditation room?
Yes, for most practice: a quiet room away from the house, light on every side, and rain on the shell instead of on you. A dome is not a box, though. The walls curve in, so you have full height only towards the centre. Put standing work in the middle and seated or lying practice towards the edge.
The other things to plan are the ones that matter in any clear room: shade and ventilation on sunny days, a little heat on cold mornings, and curtains if the neighbours can see in. A yoga shed or a timber garden room is better if you want a closed, dark room or hot yoga in summer; a dome is the choice when you want to practise with the sky above you.

Before you order
What makes it a good place to practise.
Floor
The dome stands on your base, so the floor is yours to choose: a level timber deck is the usual answer, with a rug or a sprung floor on top. Keep the base level and dry; see base and anchoring.
Sun and heat
A clear shell gains heat quickly in sun. Practise early or late on summer days, or choose the solar-control light-grey shell, the roof curtain and top-lift ventilation. How each option works.
Cold mornings
The shell stays up all year and holds its properties down to −40 °C. A small electric heater takes the chill off; our winter heating guide shows how to size it.
Air
Breathing and sweating in a closed clear room raise humidity, and water forms on the cold shell. Open the window or the top vent while you practise and for a few minutes after. How to stop condensation.
Privacy and light
Curtains are included in the configured price and close the lower panels while the roof stays open. In the evening, keep lighting low: with lights on inside, anyone outside can see in.
Quiet
A solid shell keeps the wind off and is quieter than a tent, but it is not soundproof, and rain on the roof is part of the experience.
Questions buyers ask us
How much does a garden yoga studio dome cost?
From US$1,300 for the Round 2.5 m and US$1,445 for the Round 3.0 m, fully configured, to US$1,692 for the Round 3.5 m High, EX-WORKS Suzhou. Freight, duties, the base, flooring, heating and installation are extra; we include a freight and duty estimate with the quotation.
Is a dome better than a yoga shed?
It is different. A timber yoga shed is a closed, insulated room that is easier to keep cool and dark. A clear dome gives you the garden and the sky while you practise, and needs shade and ventilation on sunny days. Choose by how and when you practise.
Can I do hot yoga in it?
You can heat it, but a clear single-skin shell loses heat quickly in cold weather and gains it quickly in sun, so it is hard to hold a steady high temperature. For regular hot yoga, an insulated room is the better choice.
Can it be a home gym too?
For bodyweight training, stretching and light equipment, yes. For heavy weights, a rack or treadmill, plan a reinforced base, and remember a clear room gets hot during hard summer workouts; an insulated garden gym suits that better.
Do I need permission for a garden studio?
It depends on your country, the size and where it stands on the plot. Many places treat a small garden building as an outbuilding with height and boundary limits; check with your local planning office. We can send the product datasheet with dimensions and weights; see project documents.
Tell us how you practise and where it will stand.
Send the space you have, how many mats, whether you do standing sequences, and your delivery address. We will suggest a size and the shade and ventilation it needs, and send the EX-WORKS quotation with a freight and duty estimate.
